When Jennifer and Duane reached out to book me as their wedding photographer for their celebration at The Old Place in Gautier, Mississippi, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. Not only was it my first time photographing at this beautiful Southern venue (and I always love the opportunity to shoot somewhere new!), but I could tell from the start that this couple’s wedding would be something truly special.

I was absolutely right. Jennifer and Duane poured their hearts into every detail, creating a day that reflected their personalities and shared passions perfectly. From subtle touches of football, cards, and poker throughout their decor to the fun experiences they planned for guests—like a digital photo booth—the entire day felt intentional, joyful, and uniquely them.

As the evening unfolded, their reception came alive with laughter, music, and one of the most energetic dance floors I’ve ever witnessed. After ten hours of celebration, it was no surprise that their gallery became one of the largest I’ve ever delivered. (And yes, they received every photo in color, too!)

For this post, I wanted to share some of my favorite moments from their day in timeless black and white—images that capture the emotion, movement, and pure joy of their wedding in a way that feels both classic and artistic.

Thank you again, Jennifer and Duane, for trusting me to capture your beautiful wedding at The Old Place in Gautier. It was such a joy and an honor to document your love story and preserve the memories of a day so full of heart and celebration.

If you’re planning your own wedding in Mississippi and searching for a joyful, storytelling wedding photographer, I would be honored to capture your day with the same care and artistry.
