Sophie and Dylan’s wedding at The Venue at Anderson Oaks in Lucedale, Mississippi, was a beautiful day full of genuine joy and meaningful moments. As their wedding photographer, I loved capturing every part of it — from quiet, emotional exchanges to the laughter that filled the reception hall.
For a February day, the weather couldn’t have been better. Clear skies and soft sunlight made the perfect backdrop for their ceremony behind the venue, in front of a stunning outdoor fireplace draped with magnolia leaves. The greenery added a timeless Southern feel.
After the ceremony, we took bridal party portraits around the property. The trees and warm winter light made every photo glow. Sophie’s bridesmaids wore dark emerald green dresses, and Dylan’s groomsmen looked sharp in classic black suits — together, the colors created a rich, elegant contrast against the natural scenery.
Inside the venue, the reception and dances were full of energy and warmth. Soft lights twinkled overhead, and everyone enjoyed great food, music, and conversation. One of my favorite moments was Sophie and her Dad's first dance — which turned into a choreographed dance that surprised the crowd.
As the evening came to a close, guests lined up with sparklers while Sophie and Dylan made their exit, surrounded by cheers and glowing light. It was the perfect finish to a day that felt both joyful and relaxed. Photographing their wedding at The Venue at Anderson Oaks was an honor — every detail came together beautifully to celebrate a couple who are clearly meant for each other.
